Opened in 1987 on Mayfield Road, the Lyndhurst location of Second Sole is the oldest running company in Cleveland. Dedicated to serving the community and providing customers with the best, Second Sole Lyndhurst also boasts the longest tenured staff out of all Second Sole locations. With decades of knowledge and experience between the staff members, they ensure that customers get fitted with the best possible option for them.

Dylan

The manager at Second Sole Lyndhurst, Dylan has been with the company since 2014. His tenure began at the Medina store and he has worked all current Second Sole locations since then. A former collegiate athlete, Dylan competed for both Heidelberg University and Youngstown State University. A fan of the classics, his favorite shoe is the Nike Pegasus (currently on its 37th version). Dylan enjoys running on the trails of Cuyahoga Valley National Park

Clark

A seasoned veteran, Clark has been with Second Sole since 1998. Over the years, he has fulfilled a multitude of roles for the company as it has grown into its current stage. A former Zip, Clark ran for the University of Akron and has since completed multiple marathons (most recently the Houston Marathon). In addition to his run specialty experience, Clark has many years of coaching under his belt, and currently coaches cross country and track at Hathaway Brown.

Scott

Scott has been a member of the Second Sole team since summer of 2015. Throughout his career, Scott has worked at multiple locations for us as well as in numerous outdoor industries. In his college days, he ran at Kent State University Ashtabula Campus and has since raced all over the country. When not slinging shoes, Scott enjoys fishing and spending as much time as he can on the water.

Emma

Emma started working at Second Sole in 2018 and brought with her extensive experience and perspective from her collegiate years. When not in shop, Emma enjoys perusing local coffee shops, visiting her family, and walking dogs.

Ian

Ian began at Second Sole at the Boardman location in 2017. Currently attending John Carroll University, Ian is a standout member of the cross country and track teams. Excelling at the 1500m and similar distances, he is a three-time conference champion for JCU. A lifelong shoe-dog, Ian brings immense knowledge to the shop.

Travis

A recent addition to the Second Sole staff, Travis brings plenty of experience from his background in run specialty. Attending Orange High School and then Syracuse University, Travis went on to become a coach at Beachwood Highschool and work at the Jewish Community Center. Since then he has lived in Boston and worked at Marathon Sports before joining us at Second Sole.

Peter

Peter joined our crew in the summer of 2020 with additional prior experience with our organization. A man of many talents, Peter has been a historian, a coach at Washington University in St. Louis, directed races and run groups and done much more for various running shops throughout the Midwest. We are excited to have Peter join the team!
